Carbonara Orzo Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound pork belly
  • 1/2 diced white onion
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • 16oz box of orzo
  • 1-1 1/2 cup of chicken bone broth
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 oz pecorino cheese
  • Cracked pepper n salt to taste

Recipe Instructions

  • Sear the pork belly in a pan until crispy.
  • Remove the pork belly from the pan and set it aside.
  • Sauté the onion and garlic in the pan until softened.
  • Add the orzo to the pan and cook according to package instructions.
  • Add the chicken bone broth to the pan and bring to a simmer.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and pecorino cheese.
  • Slowly whisk the egg mixture into the orzo mixture, until the sauce is thickened.
  • Serve the orzo topped with the crispy pork belly and cracked pepper.
