Seafood Paella Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen seafood mix (defrosted)
  • ¼ onion, diced
  • ¼ red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp chopped cilantro
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup paella rice
  • 1 cup steeped saffron water
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 tsp seafood stock powder
  • Jumbo shrimp, for topping

    Recipe Directions

    1. Prepare Ingredients:

    • In a pot, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.
    • Add cilantro and tomato sauce, stirring to combine.

    2. Add Rice and Seasoning:

    • Stir in paella rice, saffron-infused water, turmeric, all-purpose seasoning, and seafood stock powder.

    3. Cook the Paella:

    • Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the seafood mix.
    • Arrange jumbo shrimp on top, cover with a lid or foil (traditional method), and reduce the heat to low.

    4. Simmer and Serve:

    • Let the paella cook for 20–25 minutes or until the rice is tender.
    • Remove the lid, garnish with extra cilantro if desired, and serve hot. Enjoy!
