Swiss Chard and Blue Cheese Frittata Recipe

by Chef Chad Rosenthal

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 35 minutes
  • Total Time 50 minutes
  • Servings: 4 servings

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 shallot diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups Swiss chard or rainbow chard leaves
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • pinch of salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • ½ cup sliced blue cheese or crumbled

Recipe Directions

    1. Heat the oil in you Flavortown Cookware frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the shallots and chard. Let sit for about 3 minutes before stirring to get a brown crust on the chard. Continue to saute for about 3 more minutes. Melt butter and sautee until butter slightly browns and gets nutty.
    2. Meanwhile, whisk the 6 eggs in a bowl with the heavy cream and a little salt and pepper. Pour over the top of the vegetables in the skillet and top with the cheese. Cook until the sides are set - about 5 minutes. Take the skillet off the burner and place into a 400 degree oven. Bake until the top is puffy and golden (keep you eye on it, this can go fast depending on your oven)
