
Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with Spicy Hot Slaw & Pickles Recipe

Recipe Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp Flavortown Chicken Rub
- Oil for frying
- 4 brioche buns
- Dill pickle spears
Recipe Ingredients for Hot Oil BBQ Glaze
- ½ cup frying oil
- ½ cup Flavortown Fiery BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Recipe for Hot Slaw
- 1 green cabbage, sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned
- 2 jalapeños, sliced
- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Flavortown Hot Sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt & pepper to taste
Recipe Directions
- Marinate chicken thighs in buttermilk and hot sauce for 1 hour.
- Mix flour with Flavortown Chicken Rub. Dredge chicken and fry until golden.
- In ceramic pan, whisk hot oil, Fiery BBQ Sauce, cayenne, paprika, and sugar. Brush over chicken.
- For hot slaw: sauté onion, pepper, and jalapeño in butter. Add cabbage, vinegar, Flavortown Hot Sauce, sugar, and spices. Cook until wilted but still vibrant.
- Build sandwich with brioche bun, hot chicken, hot slaw, and pickles.
